Strengthening of 28 women-led organizations
in cleaner production activities and
implementation of 22 environmental production
initiatives Risk Management – IIAP
Through the implementation of women-led environmental initiatives, this agreement promoted equity, sought to narrow social gaps, and, in turn, fostered sustainable productive growth, thereby contributing to the protection and care of the environment and improving the quality of life for those involved in the process.
All activities focused on environmental protection through participatory strategies and the implementation of environmental sustainability tools, as well as incentives for cleaner production, thereby promoting women-led environmental initiatives in the various localities within the CVC’s watershed management units.
With the support of the Pacific Environmental Research Institute and the Valle del Cauca Regional Autonomous Corporation (CVC), outreach activities, diagnostic visits, and participation and motivation strategies were carried out with 48 organizations already impacted in the first phase and 52 new organizations, resulting in the strengthening of 28 organizations to develop and implement strategies that promote cleaner production activities with a gender perspective. Similarly, 22 environmental production initiatives were implemented in the Western, Eastern, Southeastern, and South-Central Regional Environmental Directorates (DAR).
