The “Vaso de Leche” project, led by the Tierra Posible Foundation and Cali’s Secretariat of Territorial Development and Social Welfare, provided care to 1,600 low-income infants, pregnant women, and nursing mothers in neighborhoods 13 and 14, in the eastern part of the city, and its purpose was to create conditions for a dignified and healthy life by providing nutritional supplements and offering educational training.
During the process, in addition to providing a nutritional supplement with high nutritional value, medical evaluations and deworming sessions were conducted, along with training in participatory and educational processes focused on psychological care, food assistance, care pathways in cases of violence, and guidelines on parenting, self-care, and the restoration of rights. It also included recreational activities with educational tasks focused on rights, responsibilities, and the physical and emotional health care of children and their families.
